Immutable: He Doesn’t Change

Stop for a moment and look around. Everything you see is a product of change. The paper you write on, the cool air from your air conditioning, the receding hairline, and the cup of coffee you’re enjoying right now.

And while change can give us a lot of good, it can also hurt us. Think of the families that were broken or the relationships that were ruined because someone changed their commitments, values and ideologies. Wouldn’t it be nice if the good things in life remain the same? Wouldn’t it be great if the people we love stay as they are?

Infinitude

What is God like? Each of us has a unique perspective on God’s characteristics. These may be based on our family background or our individual experiences. Yet what does the Bible say about what God is really like? We will be kicking off a new series this week entitled, “Infinitude,” which focuses on four important [...]

Shout Caloocan!

In less than twelve hours, something’s gonna break lose in Victory Caloocan. All the excitement and all the waiting will finally be turned into loud shouts of praise tomorrow as we do a soft launch of our new center at the 6th floor of Victory Central Mall (formal launch will be next Sunday, August 29). As we prepare our hearts for a time of celebration, I can’t help but be reminded of an ancient song written in Psalms 118: 15:

Shouts of joy and victory
resound in the tents of the righteous:
“The LORD’s right hand has done mighty things!”

Victory Caloocan Expansions

A lot of exciting things are taking place in Victory Caloocan these days. Barely two months after we added a new Sunday service, we are now moving to a bigger, better location. We are literally and figuratively going all the way up!

Starting this Sunday, August 22, our regular church services will be conducted at 6th floor of Victory Central Mall beside the Elorde Boxing Gym. The main hall of our new worship center has a seating capacity of over 750 people, with newly furnished rooms for kids on the sides, a slick technical booth for audio-video work stations, and a host of new features that are designed to make your church experience meaningful.

A Call to Devotion

What would you do if Jesus comes into your house?

Few hours ago, Pastor Ferdie Cabiling did an interesting Facebook poll asking the same question and some of the answers ranged from treating Jesus like a casual guest who is on time for lunch to one who would probably shed tears of happiness for His appearance. Most commenters said they would probably hug Jesus and never let Him go while someone thought singing would be her response.

In Luke 10: 38- 42, Jesus visited the home of Martha and Mary. What seemed like a casual story of two sisters who were simply doing their best to show Jesus their appreciation of His presence proved to me a revealing story of how we value and handle our relationship with God.
